The Solution
By combining ZeroBounce with Zapier, we created a seamless webhook-based workflow that checks every email address at the moment a checkout begins.
Here’s how it works:
- Klaviyo triggers the “Started Checkout” event and passes that data to Zapier.
- Zapier immediately sends the email address to ZeroBounce for validation.
- ZeroBounce returns a profile attribute back into Klaviyo—either “Valid” or “Invalid.”
- Inside the abandoned checkout flow, a simple filter allows us to skip profiles flagged as invalid.
